I have developed a number of resources to help strong calculus students push their knowledge farther, and other resources designed to help any calculus student understand its use in other scientific disciplines. These will eventually be made available (probably password protected).
Other resources of note:
- Dawson College’s Learning Communities
- Dawson currently supports a number of faculty-led initiatives, called learning communities (click here for more info). In 2018, I was part of a learning community pilot project whose goal was to enrich the learning experience in differential calculus and mechanics by teaching the two courses as “paired courses.” To reach this goal, we re-ordered content so that the courses built upon one another, asked students to transfer competencies from one class to the other, and designed cross-disciplinary learning assessments.
- Open source textbooks (please send me more of your favorites!)
- Linear Algebra
- Discrete Mathematics
- Book of Proof by Richard Hammack
